THE ANTIPLASTIC FESTIVAL

The Green Week 21-25 May 2018 was celebrated at Braila under the Erasmus+ projects Eco Circle and HOPE by     organizing an Antiplastic Festival in five colleges and the public  library  from Braila,. The colleges involved were Cerna, Sebastian, Aslan, Perpessicius, Art school.  Parents, teachers, NGO representatives and the general public were invited  .  Every day the event moved to a different place.  It included an  exhibition of posters and infographics by local students  as well as a display of  plastic free and  biodegradable products collected by youth leaders and project staff from the

Pack expo -2018 at Romexpo Bucharest earliear in the month.

Viorica Alexandru introduced the issue of plastic pollution and the two Erasmus+ projects in progress at Braila, HOPE and Eco Circle.  Interviews and videos from the exhibition and the National Conference on Waste Manegement were shown to the participants everyday .

The 5th day  hosted by Liceul teoretic “Panait Cerna” and Headteacher Veronica Picus closed the Antiplastic Festival and beside exhibitions and videos, a public speaking competition on Circular Economy took place, a talk was given on Skype by the head of the National Federation of the Associations for Intracommunity Service Development, the ceremony for winning speakers and  poster creators took place, certificates were handed and many photos taken.
