BRAILA , ROMANIA : ANTIPLASTIC  WORKSHOPS AND TALKS

It was in February 16 -17 , 2018 at Braila, when around 100 youth from local high schools and their teachers had an opportunity to learn from outstanding Romanian professionals and activists about building an antiplastic attitude and getting responsible for community and global future.

The topics included: interactive learning exercises on recognizing and replacing plastic pollutants around us,  how to live 7 years without plastic ,  good practice with waste recycling by a reputed  Romanian business,  the trail of plastic waste from individuals  to  the recycling factory in a big city,  operating  a  social enterprise  to  regularly collect  wastes from offices and small shops.

Following the antiplastic learning events, the participants are  expected to prepare their own  antiplastic porfolios including short films, photo albums and short talks for the ANTIPLASTIC Festival in the EU Green Week, 21-26 May 2018 .

The HOPE project team has involved  a number of NGOs and businesses for the content coverage as well as the local Municipality and  public services for the Festival organization combining street and indoors venues in an attempt to provide for an understanding  of  plastic  wastes as a global problem.
